We shall drive at the centre point of Kigali central business area where most comercial shops and banks are situated with hotels. A major visit will be at the Gisozi Genocide Museum. The museum gives you the history of the which 1994 100 days Rwandan Genocide where almost a million people were massacred.

The museum was set up in 1999 and officially opened in 2004. The Memorial centre has 2 sections to visit with an outside burial place that caters for 259,000 persons killed only in Kigali.

The inside museum has 3 sections which give you information about the Rwanda Genocide, genocide in other countries and the last section dedicated to children.

There are quiete a number of Genocide memorial centres around Kigali. You could also visit the Bill Clinton foundation in Rwinkavu village which caters for the HIV persons.

Entrance is free to the memorial centre, however all pictures taken inside are paid for at $10 USD per person per camera. And out side the museum, its all free.
