Bono of U2 meets President Kagame of Rwanda.

President Paul Kagame of Rwanda met with the founder of ONE campaign and lead singer of U2 Bono in Kigali Rwanda together with the entire United States Congressional Delegation led by Democratic Senator Chris Coons.
The bipartisan congressional delegation commended the development in Rwanda plus touring various places in the country including the Solar power plant in Rubona Rwamagana.The president hosted ONE Campaign delegation at the Urugwiro Village and was thanked by the group for promoting peace and stability in the region.The grouped also commended on the president's fight against AIDS in the past 20years.
The One campaign team that visited Rwanda included Senator Al Franken of Minnesota his spouse Franni Bryson and Senator Jeff Merkley of Oregon.
In addition to Bono, the lead singer of U2 and co-founder of The ONE Campaign and (RED), the delegation included members of the RED and ONE Campaign team.Created in 2006, RED works to involve the corporate sector to fight AIDS in Africa.
They partner with businesses that contribute up to 50% of their profits to fight AIDS through the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria.
So far, RED has generated close to US$ 300 million to fund HIV/AIDS programmes in Africa that have impacted the lives of more than 60 million.
